CQC Report Highlights
All care homes are regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England. We are proud that Claremont Court has been rated Good across all areas, Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well‑led, reflecting the home’s consistent delivery of quality care for people living with dementia and complex needs. Inspectors noted that the home’s environment is developed to meet residents’ needs, with objects, pictures and areas of interest that people enjoy. The team were observed providing kind, personalised care, and people’s end‑of‑life wishes were thoughtfully considered and documented.
Resident Experience and Family Feedback
The Claremont Court CQC report highlighted positive feedback from both residents and their relatives. One resident simply said, “I like it here.” Family members praised the quality of care, the strong communication from staff, and the welcoming sense of inclusion within the home.
One relative shared that staff involve residents in activities tailored to their individual interests. Another commented that the management team made them feel like part of the home from the very beginning. As a result, they said it felt as though they were visiting their mother in her own home, adding, “I even have my slippers here. I can go and make drinks in the kitchen.”
Inspectors also observed a calm and serene atmosphere throughout the home, noting that residents were comfortably engaged in sensory activities and relaxing in familiar surroundings.
Leadership and Effective Management
The CQC describes Claremont Court’s leadership team as approachable, stable and highly visible within the home. Staff reported feeling well supported and confident in their roles, with clear systems in place to listen to and act on feedback.
Relatives also expressed confidence in the safety and wellbeing of residents. These strengths, combined with ongoing staff training and strong quality oversight, help ensure the home continues to provide consistently effective and responsive care.
