Carer events

At Claremont Court we understand the challenges families and carers in the community often face when caring for a loved one with dementia. We know how difficult it can be to know where to turn for guidance and support.

Our events are free, informative and designed to signpost you to other services whilst providing an opportunity to receive some much-needed support.

Our support sessions

We understand that it can often be difficult to access this type of support whilst caring for a loved one who relies heavily on you being around. With this in mind, we also welcome your elderly relative along too. During the session, your loved one is able to enjoy spending time with our residents and trained team – giving you the opportunity to access free, professional advice with peace of mind that they are being cared for by us.

Financing long-term care
this session provides independent advice and guidance on all aspects of financing and funding long-term care including self-funding and local authority funded care, the Care Act, inheritance tax and Power of Attorney.
Understanding dementia
led by a dementia care expert, these sessions cover common types of dementia, the different stages of the condition and symptoms and how to support a loved one living with dementia including coping strategies, addressing communication issues and managing behaviour that can be challenging.
Finance surgeries
these follow our financing long-term care events and give people the opportunity to discuss their circumstances on a 1-2-1 basis with an independent trained and skilled advisor.

Events and celebrations

As well as our free advice sessions we have a whole range of fun and engaging events and celebrations throughout the year where we welcome members of our local community into our home to come and spend time with us and join in the fun. It also provides the perfect opportunity for our residents to maintain important links and to feel part of their community. For more information about our upcoming events please contact us.
