Support for new team members

How we support new team members

Whether you’re completely new to care, returning to work after a break or moving jobs, we understand joining a new team is a big step.

That is why, right from the moment you apply for one of our care home jobs, we’re here to support you – making sure you have all of the help you need along the way and the application process is as smooth as possible.

Team support

We have a dedicated central team who are focused on providing exceptional support to everyone who joins us.

As well as making sure you’ve got all of the guidance and information you need, your dedicated team support colleague will become your go-to person if you have any questions in the run up to your first day at Claremont Court.

This includes help arranging your DBS, applying for references and setting up any training you need to do before starting your new role in our care home.

Training

All new starters get paid time for training before starting their first day and you’ll have the opportunity to complete a detailed induction plan where you shadow colleagues in our home – making sure you feel confident and comfortable with your role before becoming a fully-fledged member of our team.

On-going support is also available, as your dedicated team support member will make sure you’re settling in well.

For our new nurses we also have a comprehensive nurse training programme, supporting with revalidation and CPD, whilst our Group Clinical Lead Julia is always on hand to provide guidance and additional clinical support.

Part of our family

Becoming part of a family is one of the key positives new team members notice about joining us and this is particularly evident at our Insight day.  Insight is designed to enable new team members to get to know us better, and provides an opportunity to hear from, and chat to, key Carebase team members who will be on-hand throughout your career to support and guide you.
