Claremont Court invites the local community to its Summer Fair with Special Guest

On 31st August, Claremont Court hosted a Summer Fair, inviting the local community and a very special guest.

The Summer Fair took place on Saturday 31 August from 1pm – 4pm. Residents, friends, family members and staff all looked forward to an afternoon of fun and the local Guildford community were invited to come along for free to enjoy the entertainment.

This year, the care home invited a very special guest to the fair, Michael Laikin, antiques expert and valuer, who has previously made regular appearances on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow. Claremont Court is invited all guests to bring along their old antiques and family heirlooms for a free valuation from Michael, who was on hand all afternoon to try and find some priceless pieces!

As well as a celebrity guest, the Friary Guildford Brass Band performed during the afternoon and there were cream teas, cakes and lots more for visitors to enjoy. Claremont Court is proud of its lovely, modern home and beautiful, expansive gardens and looks forward to welcoming everyone along.

Nicola Palladino, care home manager, says: “We always look forward to the Summer Fair at Claremont Court and were delighted that Michael was here to help visitors with valuations. There was lots to do and we were so pleased we were able to involve the local community to come along and enjoy the afternoon with us.”
