Heart of Gold Awards 2016

Anice Donker is nominated as this year’s Heart of Gold Ambassador at Claremont Court Care Home.

Anice Donker, a senior carer at Claremont Court Care Home has won a Heart of Gold Award at a ceremony held at the home on 24^th November.

The Awards seek to recognise employees for their dedication and commitment in providing high quality care and compassion to all the home’s residents.

Karen Byres, manager of Claremont Court said: “Anice is one of our most dedicated team members. Having worked at Claremont since May 2015, Anice has gone from strength to strength. She is a valued member of staff and loved by all our residents. A well-deserved winner.”

Anice was presented with a Tiffany necklace to commemorate her success by Alnur Dhanani, Chairman of Carebase.

Nominations for the award came from residents and their relatives, co-workers, social workers and local health professionals. Anice was chosen from the list of nominations by a panel of previous Heart of Gold award winners from all the other homes in Claremont’s group.

Anice said: “I am so blessed to work at Claremont Court with this team and to be this year’s Heart of Gold Ambassador. I have worked in many care homes and nowhere is as wonderful as Claremont – I will stay here forever! Thank you to everyone here for your support this year”.

Altogether there were 28 nominees for the award at Claremont Court. All nominees received a Heart of Gold lapel pin.
