At Claremont Court we are proud to support the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination in our home, boosting our existing safety measures and bringing a much-welcomed light at the end of the tunnel.
With an air of celebration and anticipation for the year ahead, the second and final dose of the vaccine was administered by our health partners from the local community to excited residents and team members in April.
Speaking of receiving her second immunisation jab, our resident Jennifer says: “I’m feeling good. Getting the vaccine makes sense as it will help keep everyone safe.”
Team member, Judit adds that: “When you work with vulnerable residents and you get to know each and every one of them, you want to protect them as much as you can. I feel like getting vaccinated was an easy way to do that. I didn’t hesitate.”
Similarly reassured, Claremont Court’s Home Manager, Karen Byres, told us: “To be able to offer our residents and team this life-saving vaccine has been simply wonderful. It’s an important step in making sure our home is as safe as it can possibly be.”
As lockdown restrictions start to ease, we will continue to work in line with national and local guidance regarding the stringent upkeep of our enhanced safety measures that have been in place over the past year. This includes regular testing for team members and residents, high-quality PPE worn at all times by all members of our team, enhanced cleaning schedules, and regular reviews of our approach to ensure we remain at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19.
